B?s shower was vintage chic.?
A little eclectic and certainly sweet.
{Go HERE for yesterdays full photo recap}The heart was in the details.. small but personal touches.? Her favorite colors, sodas, patterns, and such.? It was no small feat planning and keeping it organized!? Indeed, behind every party is a list.? A long one, with checks, scratches, dates, details, and coffee stains.? Thankfully, the world wide web is a bit more efficient/smarter than yours truly.? Sites like Etsy, keep my purchases in neat order (minus the scribbles & stains) so I can in turn remember & share with you!
#1. The Lemonade Stand
I purchased four-packs of glass bottles from local craft shop, Pat Catans.? Inexpensive and re-usable, the size was perfect for sipping.? Topped with a lemon slice and paper straw, pure convenience for guests.

#2. Soda Pop Please!
Vintage and new soda pops from our local grocer Buehlers.? Extra tall straws made drinking easier!#3. Favors for Everyone
As a thank you for our guests, they took home a fun goodie bag.? Each filled with donut holes and a Starbucks VIA coffee pouch.? The bags were labeled and sealed with washi tape!

#4. Label Everything
Better safe than sorry, I label everything to make life easier (and safer, allergies) for everyone attending!? It takes no time at all to print off sweet labels with fun fonts and attach them to tags with sticky dots (try Zots brand).

#5. You are Invited
A pretty invitation sets the mood and gets the party started!
There are so many to choose from on Etsy, I couldn?t limit myself to just one.? The designers used my colors and details to create a perfect product.? The scroll invite was originally intended for a bridal shower, but the shop changed it up for no extra fee!? Once a PDF was created & emailed to me, I had both printed @ Staples for a song.
#6.? Let them eat cupcakes
What?s a shower without the SWEETS?? Instead of sticking to a ?theme?, I opted for a variety of flavors & designs.? Something for every palette? lemon or banana split, golden butterfinger or mocha latte.? Each cupcake was labeled with a simple tag.? I took old Sherwin Williams paint swatches, punched out the center square and attached it to a toothpick with a white round sticker.? Instant labels, for FREE!? The larger cake flags were free printables found @ PotteryBarnKids.com

#7.? Lanterns to Hang
In keeping with the color scheme, and to add a little whimsy? I made a few lanterns and tissue paper poms for the food table.? Both easy and relatively inexpensive, they can be used again.? I found the idea for the paper lanterns on Pottery Barn Kids design center, there?s a video for those of us that are visual learners.? Tissue paper poms were also a PBK tutorial.? Did you know they have a site within a site devoted to parties??? Both were hung with clear fishing wire.
